how do i wipe my dell xp hard drive if i am locked out of my computer

my dell computer is running xp and I am locked out by administer so I want to wipe it clean and start again. can anyone help?

Get a friends pc and take out their hdd and install yours. Wipe it on their pc and then take it out and put it back in yours. Hope this helps

That depends on what you mean by "locked out by administer".

A BIOS password that you do not know? Ask whoever set the password.
Windows password? Simply reinstall.
