How do you connect an LG Smart TV, Vizio Soundbar, cable box with cable remote?

I have an LG 55" 4K Ultra HD Smart TV 55UF6430 and a Vizio 5.1 Surround Sound Soundbar system SB3851-DO. It is connected like this HDMI cable from TV HDMI-2 ARC to Soundbar HDMI Out (ARC). Cable Box HDMI to TV HDMI-1. Playstation 3 HDMI to TV HDMI-3. All sound connections appear to work with soundbar and TV working with cable box remote. Cable box remote can turn off TV & Soundbar, but when cable box remote turns on TV and Soundbar there is no sound (even though the Soundbar is on) and I have to use the Soundbar remote input to cycle through the different inputs until it gets back to HDMI-ARC and then the sound comes on. Why won't the sound come on when it is first turned on?

Try turning off CEC in your TV. LG may call it something else. This allows your TV to send commands over HDMI cables. Screws things up more often then it works.
