How do you get LG DH4130S home theater system to work with a MAG 254 or Android cable boxes?

I bought a DH4130S home theater system, but can't get no sound from it when I try watching a movie from my MAG 254 cable box, even though I changed the TV sound from 'TV speaker' to 'Audio Out'. I've tried using both RCA & HDMI cables to no avail. What do I need to do to get the sound to work? I'd appreciate any help that I can get. Please help me!!

That´s a really bad combination. No HDMI in and no optical or RCA coax connection available at the DH4130S, so surround is not possible with this combination, if you watch videos from the MAG 254.

Which TV is it?

Connect the Mag 254 via HDMI to the TV and use a 3.5mm jack on 2 RCA RCA plug cable from the TV´s headphone connector to the aux in of the DH4130S.

Did you select AUX in as source at the LG?

Do normal headphones work with the TV? Volume is maxed out?

Somewhere "mute" activated?

Which TV is it? brand and model please
