Question Connect old Av system to smart Samsung TV

I am unable to get my Bose AV28 Sound System to work with Samsung 4K Qled Smart TV . No Audio when I used Digital Optical cable.

Any help will be greatly appreciated .

Can I use HDMI to RCA converter or do I have to use a Digital to Analog audio converter.

Did you select digitial optical out on your TV?
