Solved! How do you record audio playing on your computer WITHOUT recording audio in the surrounding environment?

Hi everyone.

Can anyone please tell me how to record the audio playing on a computer WITHOUT recording the audio in the surrounding environment?

I want to record the audio of a video on my computer, but I don't want to record background noises from outside of my computer. I haven't been able to find any way download the video so this is my only option it seems.

I've had this question for a long time, but I haven't found an answer yet.

Ideally, there is some computer program that can be downloaded and run to record the audio playing only on my computer, but not the audio/noises of the surrounding environment (e.g. keyboard clicks, breathing, etc.).

You can use a program called Open Broacast System (OBS) to accomplish this.
It's free.

There are free programs capable of recording audio your laptop / PC makes that are a lot less complicated than OBS. An example is the following...
