i inserted the wire heads from my fans in to the MB on the incorrect side, this caused one of the fans to no longer work. naturally because i am a fool i then inserted the otherwise working fan the wrong way and broke that too, because 1 working fan is not acceptable.

i do remember hearing a slight pop when i turned my computer on. how do i tell if it's a motherboard issue? i looked around at all the capacitors and anything that may have appeared as blown or bloating, and they all seem fine. i don't have a multimeter. i will be buying new fans but i want to know first before wasting my money.

thank you.

If there is nothing visible, nothing you can see as damaged, then without the proper equipment there is no way to check until you can try powering up the device. When you have the fans in again.

Should the motherboard then turn out to be toast, there is nothing stopping you from returning the fans for a refund, should you chose to get a new device.
