How does YouTube's scheduled publishing work?

I have a video being rendered on YouTube right now, and I have to go to school tomorrow at 7 A.M. I want to release the video at noon, but I don't get home until 3:17 P.M. Do I need to leave my computer on after the video has rendered and is ready to be published, or can I shut it off and have YouTube automatically make the video public at noon. I have set up everything for the video to go public at noon, but if I shut off my PC after it is ready to be published, will it still go public, or does my PC need to be on?
