How long would a Lenovo Y50-70 last?

Hi I was thinking of investing in a Lenovo Y50-70 for gaming (I can't do a Desktop as I am always on the move but enjoy gaming) but I am worried that if it overheats the motherboard or something will die after playing something like Far Cry 4 (on medium). Will a laptop cooling pad help a lot?

Laptop cooling pads help keep temps down - keeping it clean & dust free also help. For current games - it should last quite a while. I have had laptops last 10+ years (one I bought in 2003 is still going - but doesn't play anything close to current games).
