Solution
Depends on if the discounts stack or applied seperately
Seperately:
1100*.8=880
880*.8=704
Stack
1100*.6=660

Difference is 44 depending on how they apply the discounts. This all assumes they will apply both discounts. Most of the time they will not. I have work discounts and standard discounts do not apply when I use my work ones. Sometimes they will give you a work discount and a smaller additional, but that is even uncommon. I work in IT and that is pretty universal for all companies.
So, basically, you want us to do math for you? Well, can you at least tell us which would get applied first? The situation changes dramatically depending on what gets calculated first.

That is correct. Normally corporate discounts don't stack with the consumer ones. Every now and again they will offer to corporate customers a deal on top of the normal discount, but its always minimal like 5%. If it was your company discount I would recommend calling them to get a best price, but since its a friends he would have to do that. I called dell about an XPS that was on sale back in the day. They gave me an additional 200 off the corporate price which helped push the total about 125 lower than the consumer sale that was going on at that time.
