How to add phone # to contacts in Note 8

Just recently upgraded from Samsung Galaxy Note 3 to Note 8. In Note 3 when I got a new phone number via a call or text and wanted to save that number to my contacts all I had to do was press and hold and it would give me an option to copy & paste. With my Note 8 when I press and hold the number it only gives me a delete option...I am wondering what I am doing wrong. Thanks for your help!

Tap the number in the call log and select details. At the bottom you have the options to create a contact with that number or update an existing contact. If you tap and hold on the number(the one under phone) you can also copy the number.
