Safe mode is a stripped down version of Android that allows you to troubleshoot bugs, app issues, random crashes or handle malware or viruses. It disables third-party apps and reduces the OS to the bare minimum. It is an excellent way to troubleshoot issues with an Android device. If you have been troubleshooting and want to know how to boot the Galaxy S7 out of safe mode, read on.

Get the Galaxy S7 out of safe mode
Once you have solved whatever issue it was you had, it’s time to reboot the phone into normal mode to see if it worked.

1. Power off the phone by using the power button.
2. Once off, press the power button again and let go once boot begins.

Occasionally, the Galaxy S7 won’t reboot properly, in which case, repeat the above steps while holding the volume down button. It should then reboot as normal.

If the S7 fails to reboot out of safe mode you can try entering recovery mode.

Booting the Galaxy S7 into recovery mode
1. Turn the phone off by holding down the power button and selecting Power off.
2. Press and hold the power, home and volume up buttons all at once.
3. Release the buttons once the Android System Recovery screen appears.
4. Use the volume down button to select recovery mode and select Reboot system now with the power button.

Your Galaxy S7 should now reboot into normal mode without issue. If it still fails to boot into normal mode, remove the battery for a couple of minutes then replace. That should certainly do it!
