How to connect a stereo sound (link level) to a laptop with only one jack in order to record music from mix (band)?

ASUS, Win10, Realtek high definition audio.

I have connected stereo jack (3 pins) to listen to music. It works.But I am not able to get any sound in to the laptop through that connector. Only microphone above the screen works.
When I connect any cable, a window appears where only two choices are: Speakers, earphones.
