How to connect a VCR to my monitor?

Hi. Can i connect a VCR to my monitor (Asus VP247H-P) via RCA TO VGA and watch my cassetes without a problem? If not what are the best options?

You can use an active converter like this one

that can scale the video to match the monitor. You will also need an audio cable for sound. You might have some issues with aspect ratio since the monitor isn't likely to allow you to stretch or zoom to fill the screen as a TV would.
