how to connect bluray player to ht

I had samsung led tv es6200 and i had samsung home theatre ht e453k and i had bluray player samsung bd6500 i had given one hdmi from ht and i given another hdmi from set top box and i given optical from ht to set top box now i want surround sound from my bluray player please tell me how

You can connect both the set top box and bluray to the TV with HDMI. Connect the optical audio output of the TV to the HT.

By giving optical to ht to tv iam not getting 5.1 sound from set top box ,if i giving optical to ht to set top box i getting 5.1 sound

Check the settings in the TV audio menu. There will be at least 2 choices. One will give you 2.0 the other 5.1
