How to connect home cinema?

Hi im looking to buy a home cinema system for a very cheap average tv, this tv has 2 hdmi in ports and no hdmi outputs.This Is the tv http/www.tesco.com/direct/technika-24e21b-full-hd-slim-24-inch-led-tv-with-freeview/498-8786.prd?gclid=CKfJusKBic0CFYIW0wod83AIQA&gclsrc=aw.ds#product-details-container

If i buy a home cinema with a hdmi in and a hdmi out port, could i connect the out to the in on my tv and then connect a standalone freeview box to the in on the home cinema, would this work? Pretty much - HDMI carries audio and video, so you tend to have lots of things plugged into your cinema amp, with one output to the TV.

One thing to look for is HDMI pass-through - basically it allows the signal to go through even when the amp is turned off, say for example when you don't need lots of speakers and leave the sound going to the tv because your mrs is asleep in the room above...

Ok thanks for your help, i dont need a hdmi pass through do i? Only need that if i want to use the tv without the amp?

Correct. It's very useful depending on your setup, but not essential.
