How to connect my bose old cinematic series 2 with lg oled c7p???

Hi i just bought oled lg c7p....and i m trying to connect my old bose cinematic gs series 2 with my tv through optical cable ....but this lg tv does not get connected ??? Can some1 help me what i m doing wrong??.....do i need any audio converter or not.....???

Did you turn the optical output on in the TV audio menu?
You may also have to turn the TV speakers off and change the audio output to PCM stereo to get it working,
Check the TV manual for more details.
