How to connect my pn64d8000 (Samsung Smart TV) to wifi?

I have been trying to connect my Smart TV to the internet, but sometimes it says it connects to the router but not to the internet.

Well it would have to go through the router since thats whats got the wireless

Is the modem/router wireless?

Some Samsung TV's will not connect to the wifi unless you do the following changes

1: Press the Menu button on your remote control.
2: Select Network.
3: Choose Network Status.
4: Select IP Settings.
5: DNS Settings - Enter Manually.
6: Enter 8.8.8.8 into the 'DNS Server' field and click 'OK'.

I had to do this to mine to get it to connect so I know it works.

Kango69 not an answer mate, a question. Last week purchased a curved screen Samsung. It was the demo model at the store - no more to hand (2016 model?) I am in Thailand. To the best of my knowledge no instruction booklet. Spent ALL day simply trying to find out on-line how to use the remote to change the Thai language (on screen) to something I can understand. Maybe I can then get the mongrel to hook up with the net. Can you, or someone,please be of assistance. I'm not entirely computer illiterate but I am becoming so.. No 'menu' named button on my remote for example. Thanks in advance and cheers
