How to connect Philips spa 4040b 5.1 home theater to lg 32lb 5820 tv? Please suggest

Solution
The only way to get 5.1 surround sound from that TV to that unit is to use Bluetooth. If you want to use bluetooth you need to buy the LG AN-WF500 for your TV. Unfortunately that speaker system needs an analog 5.1 output to work in 5.1 surround sound otherwise which your TV does not have. Some DVD players and cable boxes may have this type of output.

If you don't want to buy that you can use a 3.5mm to RCA cable like this

And plug the 3.5mm side into the headphone output on your TV, and then the red and white RCA connectors to the "TV" connectors...

And plug the 3.5mm side into the headphone output on your TV, and then the red and white RCA connectors to the "TV" connectors on the Phillips subwoofer. This will only give you stereo sound, not 5.1
