How to connect Samsung smart tv to my Direct TV. It says check connection. But it works fine on regular tv when plugged in.

Try a different HDMI cable. The fact that it works on another TV doesn't matter.
Try a different HDMI input on the TV. Sometimes they are different.
Check the video settings on the DTV box.
