Solved! How to connect Sony STR-DN1080 receiver, HT-ST5000 sound bar, and XBR-75Z9D TV?

All 3 of these devices have multiple HDMI inputs and outputs, including one HDMI ARC (return) port each, and one optical port each. The manuals aren't clear (at least to me) how you connect the cables so that both the receiver and the TV use the sound bar for 7.2.1 Dolby Atmos / DTS: X sound. Thanks!

You choose - receiver OR soundbar. Not both. That's why the manuals don't cover this.
