Solved! How to connect speaker amp to projector with LAN / CAT 6

I have a socket and HDMI cable on ceiling for projector in home cinema room., the HDMI exits out from wall in cinema room next to 2 co-axial ports, 2 CAT 6 ports and power sockets in the same room. There are cables for 4 surround sound speakers and one subwoofer in the cinema room however these cables go downstairs to a 'server' room with cabinet/rack which is where main internet router is located; the amp for the speakers will have to go here. How can I connect the projector to the speaker amp?? Can I use a media player (e.g. Firecube) located in cinema room which can be connected to projector with HDMI and connected to LAN via CAT 6 ethernet cable to the speaker amp downstairs..?? Please Help!! driving me mad

You can convert one or two CAT6 cables to one HDMI cable. You will need 2 converter/baluns (one for each end). These are tricky but can work fine.

You may be able to find one with an HDMI input selector. If you have more than one source you will need that function too.
