How to Factory reset hp laptop stream

I recently bought a hp laptop stream 11.6" and im trying to do a factory reset, however it will not allow me to. The guy I bought it from dosent remember his password for his Microsoft account & its giving me one heck of a time trying to get it done. Ive tried all the ways YouTube shows you to do & nothing works. Keeps saying something like can't complete reset not enough memory. Please help!! THANKS!!

If it's password locked from the previous owner there's nothing we can do as we can't verify ownership.

You could probably do a clean install of Windows however your going to lose any files on the system currently, HP bloatware & possibly the Windows key, especially if it's Win10 and was tied to the previous owners MS account.
