How to find make of a stolen Laptop with the serial number

Hi, tom, my laptop was stolen. can one get the exact laptop make if i got the serial number and name of laptop??, e.g DELL, SERIAL NO: 111111111.

Your best bet would be to call the manufacturer of the laptop as there is no website or place that you can do what you are wanting. The only person, other than you, that has that serial number is the company that made it. With that number they should be able to help. Call and tell them your laptop was stolen and you only have a serial number, you do not remember the model and police require it to help find it.

If they cannot help you may be out of luck, but I would at least try.

i tried that and i now know the make of that laptop. tho i can't find it. i will have to buy another refurbished same make to re-place.
