Question How to fix incorrect order and layout of photos on SD Card after moving from internal memory

I have a Samsung S8.

To save on space, I moved all my pictures from internal memory to the new microSD card.

I formatted the card before installing and then moved the pics using Samsungs file explorer app.

However when I open the gallery now, the pics are displayed in random order, some are turned upside down and some are rotated 180 deg.

Before moving, they were in the correct order.

The default sort order is by Created Date descending. I tried other options but it does not help.
How do I fix so I can see them again in correct order?

Can anyone advise?

the photos were created at the time you copied these to the sd card
try a different app to ensure the dates are not mixed up

Thanks. I already use Google Photos...that isnt the issue.

I saw a similar old post on this forum and the solution given was -
You can put it right if you take the SdCard out and slave it to a PC using a Micro USB/USB cable. Straighten the files out by clicking on the head of the date column, save the work and safely remove it. Pop it back into the device and see if that worked.

Can anyone tell me what does "slave it" mean? And what does straighten the files mean?

I moved my photos from my phone's storage to the SD card. The moved photos do show up in my gallery but now they are all messed up. For example if I want to find a picture that was taken yesterday I have to search my whole gallery since it could even be mixed with my first taken photos from 5...
