How to give lives to friends

I have a few friends who are regularly playing Cookie Jam, and last year I remember we were able to give free lives to each other. Well it's been awhile since we've done that, and now I completely forgot how to send lives to them.! Can you please tell me how can we do this? Thank you for all the help you can give me.
