It's very important your microphone to work properly so you can play your favorite VR games without any difficulties. This process is not complicated you will solve the problem very easy. Follow this steps if you have problems with the voice quality of your HTC Vive microphone and you will be satisfied with the result when you finish.
Step 1. Try to put a pop filter over the microphone. You can improvise by putting some cloth over the hole and then tighten it on the bottom with electrical tape.
Step 2. System tray > right click on the audio icon> select recording devices
Step 3. Go to properties of the USB Audio
Step 4. Custom tab> turn off the AGC and set the level to 100%
Step 5. Steamvr settings> make sure that the AGC is off
