how to hook up an old harman kardon pm640 amplifier and tuner to new sony surround sound system and samsung tv

I have a harman kardon pm640 amplifier and tuner which i want to connect to anew sony surround system and a samsung tv. I have an hdmi cable to connect to surround sound system but I cant get the amplifier or tuner working ;(

The pictures I can find for a PM640 are for an integrated amp, no tuner. If you have a separate tuner connected to it and can't get any sound, then you probably have an internal problem with the amp. You can move the tuner to the different input connections on the back of the amp to see if just one input is not working.

If you have a surround sound system then the HK integrated amp serves no purpose.
If you have a separate tuner then connect that directly to an input on the surround sound system.
