How to hook up Left&Right Satellite to Computer

Hey everyone, I figured this might be a good place for a dummy to ask a question.

So I have a computer stereo system with a sub and 2 speakers. The problem is, one of the plugs on the back of the sub (red and white inputs for left and right satellite) does not function. The computer itself has right and left satellite inputs on the back of it.

What I was hoping to be able to do was still use both of these speakers and just run them out of the back of the computer without the sub with the non functioning satellite input. Is this possible?

It's possible but the problem is that the sat speakers are probably unamped. The amp is in the sub cabinet.

Soundcards used to have small amps in them to run speakers so I'm pretty sure yours doesn't.

Question, do you still get sound of the Sub? If you do it could be that the input for the Sats is bad(loose or broken wire).

It wouldn't hurt to plug in the Sats and see if they work.
