ssddx Glorious May 27, 2009 5,968 2 46,060 Oct 10, 2012 #3 50" what? lcd or plasma. i know for a fact early plasmas had a warning about laying them down. lcd televisions should be fine. the issue with a 50" is that they might not fit into a "car". you might require a "van" or "truck". if you do lay it down put the screen up. while you do not need bubble wrap it is highly suggested to use a quilt, blanket or other wrapping to protect the tv. two blankets would be fine.
