How to reset the password on an acer aspire one

My daughter changed her password on her Acer. She had logged on before, but when she went to camp and came back, when she tried to log on, the password is not accepted.
We've tried varies ways, to make sure she didn't spell it differently, but nothing works.

You must contact Acer and provide PROOF of ownership. As your OEM then are responsible for windows support
