In the past several years, we have become more and more dependent on wireless networks. Not only is Wi-Fi really convenient, it's also easy to secure. But if you don't take the steps to secure your network, you could let unexpected users in. Here's how to secure the wireless connection from your smartphone:
For iPhone:
1. Go to ‘Settings’.
2. Tap on Wi-Fi & turn it ON.
3. Under the Choose a Network header select your preferred connections.
4. Tap on ‘Security’.
5. Select WPA2 as it is the most secure setting.
6. You will prompted you to set up a password. Choose a strong password.
7. Tap on OK and click on join from the right upper corner.
For Windows phone:
1. Go to Settings > System > Wi-Fi
2. Turn on Wi-Fi by tapping the on/off switch & your phone will automatically search for any Wi-Fi networks.
3. Select any of your preferred networks.
4. If the connection is secure, a blank box will appear where you have to provide the network’s password. Type the password.
5. Tap on ‘Done’.
For Android:
1. Go to ‘Settings’.
2. Tap on ‘Wi-Fi’.
3. Turn on ‘Wi-Fi’ by check marking on the blank box right next to the Wi-Fi option.
4. Tap on ‘Add Wi-Fi network’ or any available Network Name.
5. A pop up menu will appear where you have to give the network name, give a name.
6. Tap on Security and select WPA2 instead of open.
7. Type in a password on the blank box under the password header and save the settings.
