Solved! How to set up external monitor as primary for laptop

Hello,I have an Toshiba laptop but the screen was damaged in shipment from Germany. Have an external screen running in safe mode.

Okay.. I'd send the laptop back if it's still under warranty.. but to answer your question.

On Windows 7, right click on your desktop and click Screen Resolution.
When that window opens up, I'm not sure what you'll see, but if you that there 2 screens detected. then, under Multiple Displays, select that screen has default. If you don't know which screen is the external. click on identify, and it will make a huge number pop up on the display...
