How to Set Up your Roku

Roku is one of the best digital players found in the market. It helps in viewing the media contents on the big screen. Additionally, Roku TV enables the user to watch streaming movies accessed through the Internet on their Roku TV. Here is how you set up the Roku and perform the initial setup.

Step 1
On unboxing the Roku device box, the user will notice the Roku remote with the batteries, the Roku TV manual guide, the power cord, the Roku TV and a wireless network connection.

Connect the Roku device to a power outlet by plugging one end to the Roku device and the other end to the power outlet with the help of a power cord. Then you must also ensure that the Internet connection is established to the Roku device.

The next step for the user it to position the ‘Batteries’ perfectly within the Roku remote.

On switching the Roku TV by pressing the ‘On’ button on the remote, you will get a screen to choose the language for display.

The very important step is to set up the internet connection. The user has to select the ‘Wireless’ option and then click the ‘Set up New Wireless Connection’ option.

The user should choose the network listed or can press the ‘Scan Again to see all networks’ option to get the network displayed. You can then choose the network name and password to set up the internet connection to the Roku device.

In the next step, you will find the device checking for software updates if found the software will be completely updated.

Activate your Roku TV

Step 10
The user then needs to enter the display code if asked. Then you can proceed with ‘Creating your Roku account’ by clicking the first-time user. You can also set up your payment information for the paid channels and you will notice all the updates getting reflected on your Roku device.
