How to setup 5 1 audio system to your laptop

Hello, I want to know how to experienced surround sound movie by using media player classic. I already know how to connect 5.1ch speaker with laptop, and I experienced my surround sound movies with VLC player, this is easiest method compare with MPC coz VLC have built in setup for 5.1 system, rather than MPC I think we must alter channel mapping first. Since MPC is preferred player for me, I want to know rightest way to setup 5.1 surround sound using MPC?
