how to solve error 212?in steam vr

i have an error in htc vive and the number of error 212 how can i solve it?

This happened to me a little while back... Can you access the Steam VR app on the platform? Or does it go the error everytime you try?

For me, this happened after a botched update and it was fixed pretty quickly...

iv got the same thing happing. could use some help as well. the error comes up as i load steam VR. iv had to jimmy rig my setup with a HDMI to USB cable for the HTC, as i only have one HDMI port, witch is used for my monitor. my display settings i believe are correct. iv uninstalled all VR APPs and links restarted my computer and re-installed steam VR. any help would be awesome
