How to take pictures of me with webcam?

How do I activate my webcam to take a headshot of me to save to a file. I am trying on eyeglasses online and it is asking me to upload a photo. Straight ahead with no glasses. I have been trying to take a snapshot with my webcam but I can't figure it out.

I tried downloading a screen shot program however I saw no options to take a picture using the webcam. It only offer options to take SCREEN SHOTS>

i use frapps for screen grabs. it use the print screen or one of the f keys as the screen grabber.
