How to turn off auto webistes in IE 10

I just purchased and installed windows 8 and installed IE 10. How do you turn off those annoying preset websites? Ex. I hit w and get a bunch of sites that start with w walmart, weather, etc. I already tried disabling search suggestions in the manage add ons section and deleted browsing history. I had it so they didn't show up on windows seven but can't remember how I did it
