So I'm not even sure if I said the names of everything right, but I am having a hard time figuring out how to record my songs from my keyboard to a editing software on my PC. The audio port of the keyboard is an 6.35 mm (1⁄4 in) (TRS)

The keyboard is the Yamaha YPG-235 and I also found some links which I would appreciate if anyone tells me if they are useful or not:

First link

Second link

Third link

Thanks

get something like this (stereo 6.3mm to stereo 3.5mm):
https://www.amazon.com/Gold-Plated-Copper-Shell-Heavy-Duty-Housing-Amplifiers/dp/B073XYK71X/ref=sr_1_7?keywords=6.3mm+to+3.5mm&qid=1551708532&rnid=2941120011&s=electronics&sr=1-7&th=1

connect the big one with the keyboard and the small 3.5mm to the line in or microphone connector of your computer.

run a recording software and start playing the keyboard records
Thank you a lot, I'm pretty sure that will work for me, and also thanks for looking up a 27 minute video hahaha

Did you look over the specs on your keyboard? It has a USB port to connect to a computer for recording and MIDI
  • USB connectivity and compatibility with music software on your computer
You can also just head to any number of music stores and check with them what you can get.

Oh, missed that connection :sleep::sleep:

You will need one of these USB AB cables:
https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-USB-2-0-Cable-Male/dp/B00NH11KIK

and the MIDI driver and the "music soft downloader" software: (depending on your operating system for Windows10 32bit, 64bit or MAC/Apple)

Have a look on page 11, 77 and ongoing:

Oh, thank you, I had read the manual before and somehow missed this, thanks
