Yea I wasn't sure if he meant that, or he meant he wants to put a desktop CPU in a laptop maybe.
It is possible to use the laptop monitor with the desktop computer, but you have to buy special adapter piece for it, and then you need to really build a mount for the screen, some kind of shell to hold it. Since most laptop LCDs are low resolution, its not really all that worth it.
