How to use recovery disc's for gateway laptop. It won't start up , pops up enter HDD password..,...

Turn on your computer.
Insert the first recovery disk in the optical drive.
1) Restart your computer.
2) Hit F12 to open the boot menu.
3) Use your up and down arrow keys to select the CD-ROM/DVD item. ...
4) Hit Enter.
5) Follow the wizard instructions to restore the system.
