How to use Sony wireless blue tooth headphones with vizio. D40-d1 tv

The tv does not have blue tooth. I bought the Sony mdr-zx220bt headphones, cannot seem to pair. Need help, I bought black web bluetooth audio set, with the bluetoothbreceiver.

You need to get a bluetooth transmitter not a receiver. The Sony headphones are the receiver.

and are having a problem check the TV manual. You may need to turn the audio output on.
