how to use vidcam as webcam

hey guys i have a sony HDR-CX12.It has a A/V out and an hdmi out and my laptop has a s- video out
can you help me how to use my vidcam as a webcam

Your laptop needs some sort of video input. Something like this Hauppauge USB-Live-2 Capture card should work.
