Question Hp 14" laptop stuck on windows hard reset

So i had it running all night from 11pm to 7:35am and nothing as yet, it's on an ssd too so I'd figure it would be faster and finish under 5 hours, but this is getting me worried, i already settled for a free replacement, But I'm curious as to how I'll get back into the windows normally without having to break the OS.

Seems tough.
Might need a reinstall of Windows.

What do you define as a "hard reset"?
