Hey, all. I have an HP Pavillion that keeps freezing after about 30 minutes of use. I thought it was overheating, but after using a cooling pad, I can confirm that it's not. Any help?
I don't know much about it, but if you need info, just ask.

What model is the device?

Have you made and hardware of software changes? Is it a HDD or a SSD?

Also, when was it purchased? With some HP laptops the thermal paste can solidify and cause issues.

If you can give me this information I should be able to help you.

It's a HP G62 Notebook.

No hardware changes. Had to repair as windows got corrupted. Did that about 2 months ago. The warranty started on 2/8/11, so it was probably around then. I know it was in 2011. It's a HDD. It's either a 250 GB or a 500 GB.

In your original post you say "but after using a cooling pad, I can confirm that it's not". I'm wondering how you are sure it is not overheating? Are you thinking that since you're using a cooling pad it can't be overheating or are you getting a temperature reading?
