Hp dv6000 repair help

hi all.

i am presently repairing 2 hp dv6000 laptops.

fault one, power light on with charger but does not charge the battery..suspect the power controller i.c?
where is it and or part number?

fault 2

mouse pad not working...replaced mouse pad and not working still?
any help appreciated asap

In both cases check the connection:

Fault One: If you are lucky it is located on the power board. otherwise it will be on the MOBO. Also have you tried a USB mouse?

Fault Two: If it is not the connection, and you are sure the mouse pad are working, it might be another MOBO issue.
