HP dv6700 fan issue

Hey all!

My sister has an HP dv6700 that has been having issues with its fan. The fan almost constantly runs, and when it runs, there is an obnoxious clicking noise that is louder than the speakers. What could this be, and how could it possibly be remedied?

she need to do a good clean up with a can can of compressed air before the fan goes out the clinking is coming from the fan itsefl.do it as soon as possible before the fan stop working

We tried this; this is why I came here to ask. I've seen other sites mention flashing the BioS and undervolting; I'm looking for opinions.
