HP envy 15 performance

Hey guys,
so today I ordered my new laptop, the hp envy 15-k238nd.

The specs of the laptop are as followed:

processor= intel core i5 5200U 2.2 ghz dual core
graphics card= nvidia geforce gtx850m 4gb
memory= 8gb ddr3
hard drive= 1TB HDD + 8gb CacheSSD

I was wondering if these specs are also able to play some rather intense videogames, of course not on maxed out settings but on a playable framerate, games I play lot are arma, dayz, battlefield, etc.

Would my laptop be able to keep up with these games?

On the Middle to bottom of this page, it tells you the frame rates you will get on various settings with your Graphics Card. Use Notebookcheck religiously.

Overall, the 850ms is not bad for "Not on maxed out settings but on a playable frame rate" 😉

And what about the processor? Games like dayz and arma are quite harsh on the processor aswell, is this new processor a decent one for the gaming?

Your Intel core i5 5200U is excellent at playing any game you throw at. A 2.2 with 3mb l3 using the insane new 14nm technology won't bottleneck your GPU nor struggle a bit at Arma 2.
