hp envy amd version

I plan on buying the hp envy 15 amd version I would like to know if it is worth the bang for my buck?
With customizations-
A10-5750m
16 gb DDR3l ram"
256 gb ssd"
2GB AMD Radeon™ HD 8750M
15.6-inch diagonal Full HD (1920x1080)
Blacklit keyboard

Will buy later , things marked with" is what I will upgrade myself and I would like to know personnel experiences and perhaps as powerful amd based alternative laptops

That should perform adequately. You don't need more than 8gb of RAM due to diminishing performance returns. Use the memory money to get a bigger SSD. Of you're unsure of anything, go down to your local PC store and try out their HP Envies. Maybe they won't be the exact specs you want, but it can be good to get a firsthand look at build quality. Places to pressure test (jab firmly with one or two fingers) are the palm rest, keyboard deck (generally between the 'g' and 'h' key, and all over is good), back if the 'lid' and maybe open Word and type something to get a feel for the keyboard.

Will the laptop last as I need it for light gaming some video editing some school work etc and I will buy from a wholesaler because I can save few hundred dollars totally ,I reside in United arab emirates

Invest in a cooling pad or maybe make your own- prop it up on some objects so the air vents have lots of room to intake air. As I said, try and test out the keyboard- some Acer laptops and Toshiba Satellites have crap keyboards, and it's important to get a good one as you'll spend a lot of time using it. However, recent HP laptops have been quite good.

Best way to take care of it is to make sure the heat levels stay low. Avoid dropping it, too, but most don't do this so keep the heat levels low.

any help with the ssd and ram

are these gonna be enough ?
and they have a limited number of laptops mostly the market in the mena region is ruled by intel so yeah ............... and they overcharge consumers by atleast 200-400 $

Go for 8GB of RAM due to diminishing performance returns after 8GB. instead, use that money for an SSD upgrade to, say, 500GB. The only reason to have that much memory is for hardcore photoshopping.
