HP Laptop freezing and restarting sometimes coming up with error message

My laptop is freezing several times a day and often restarting itself after half a minute, though not always and I need to restart it. It also just randomly restarts it self and comes up with an error message, something about an uncorrectable hardware error. I took a photo of it one time but seems I cant upload it here? [Edit: image above] Just started doing it randomly one day, didn't have any issues with it before then. Running windows 7. Thoughts?

Here are some troubleshooting steps that may help to correct that problem.
- First is to run a complete virus/malware scan.

I tried that. Didn't work. I have removed the hard drive and it's still freezing getting worse and can't really use it now, so nothing to do with the hard drive or software... Doing my head in. Thoughts????

the model of your HP laptop? it did said hardware error, so it could be anything.

Ending up crashing just before and the number lock and cap lock lights ending up flashing their thing. Turns out its an general system board failure, so yeah, time to buy my self a new Christmas prezzie
