So would anyone happen to know how to make an hp laptop keyboard work again i just opened up mine to find none of the keys randomly working and the thing is, mine requires my e-mail in order to log in, so i can’t really check to see what’s up or even to system restore it. (which is proving to be a major pita atm)

I know there was a way that upon start up that you either held down keys f9, f10, or f11 but i can’t remember exactly, nor can i seem to be able to find the article detailing what to do. Also, I just checked, and NONE of the f-keys are working, which I've never experienced.

pls help bc i dont want a new laptop :TTT I just bought this laptop LAST MONTH so yes it's very new. this has never happened before and I don't understand why it's happening when previously there has been no problems. I literally just opened it up and the keys weren't working. you mean to tell me it's defective already?! (irritated sigh) I mean..

But yes I've tried rebooting/restarting it and no, that didn't work.

I'm sorry, I just joined the site RIGHT NOW so maybe someone could help me. I've been looking all around the internet for answers but none of them help my cause. I literally cannot log in and check the driver or type in fancy commands or whatever. You have literally no idea how frustrated I am (it's ALWAYS something!!)

worst comes to worst (or rather, luckily?) I have a friend I could just bring my toppy to... I just hope in the course of the night it will all go back to normal. Anyway, thank you for reading this china text wall and thank you for taking the time out to assist me. I appreciate it T_T

Hi Emmies,

Generally speaking, HP products to have a 1 year warranty. I suggest calling us. What you can do, is use the following link to create yourself a case number, then call and it may help speed up the call process:

Step 1. Open link: http://
Step 2. Enter Product number or select to auto detect
Step 3. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"
Step 4. Scroll down and click on: HP contact options - click on Get phone number

Case number and phone number appear.

Best of luck,
I work on behalf of HP.
